Future Heritage 2017

Exclusive to Decorex International, Future Heritage presents the industry’s most important designer makers in a unique feature showcasing the names to collect in British craft. Curated by the eminent applied arts and design journalist Corinne Julius since its launch in 2014, the craftspeople and designers exhibiting at Future Heritage are amongst the most talented working in Britain today.

The work of British designer Matt Davis may look like virtual reality, but they are in fact physical artefacts. Matt’s work marks society in the information age by creating objects that appear to be digital, resulting in a post-contemporary aesthetic that is beyond hyperreal. Davis’ work aims to challenge perceptions of traditional ceramics and attempt to push the boundaries of what is possible with surface and form in the medium.
